Product Description

Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS), it is an emerging type of distributed sensing technology which can perform remote and real-time disturbance safety monitoring along the optical fiber line. By using optical fibers as the sensing medium, it not only has the characteristics of anti-electromagnetic interference, anti-corrosion, high sensitivity, but also has the advantages of good concealment, accurate alarm positioning, and relatively simple data processing. It is suitable for real-time monitoring of large areas and long distances, and has important application prospects in the fields of perimeter security and optical cable hazard warning. It can be widely used in anti-intrusion and optical cable security monitoring in scenes such as communication optical cable lines, optoelectronic composite cables, and important security units.

Technical Principle

The system uses the Rayleigh scattering effect of optical fiber. When external sound waves/vibrations act on the optical fiber, the phase and intensity of the scattered light change slightly. The optical time domain reflectometry (OTDR) technology is used to collect the difference in scattered light signals before and after vibration, and the location and intensity of the vibration event are demodulated using intelligent algorithms to achieve distributed, high-precision monitoring.

Key Features

Ø  The distributed acoustic sensing system has extremely high sensitivity and can detect weak vibration signals, thus realizing accurate monitoring of tiny vibrations of structures.

Ø  Support long-distance monitoring, can cover a wide area, and realize distributed and real-time vibration monitoring.

Ø  Ability to accurately determine the location and time of vibration signals and provide detailed monitoring data.

Ø  As the optical fiber with good anti-interference performance, it can operate stably under complex environmental conditions.

Ø  Distributed disturbance detection, continuous monitoring without blind spots.

Ø  24 hours real-time online monitoring, truly unattended.

Ø  Fiber break fault alarm and accurate positioning for easy maintenance.

Ø  The entire monitoring process uses optical cables, no power supply is required on the line, and construction and maintenance are simple.

Application Scenarios

Ø  Energy and Industry: Oil and gas pipeline monitoring, coal mine safety, and protection of power facilities from external damage.

Ø  Transportation Infrastructure: Rail transit vibration monitoring, Submarine cable monitoring, and bridge structure health diagnosis.

Ø  Public Safety: Perimeter Defense, Long-distance pipeline anti-theft and digging prevention.

Ø  Research Fields: large dynamic strain measurement, ultra-long distance distributed monitoring
